- Reach out to faculty and staff members to inquire about potential referrals.
- Engage with students, alumni and any post-secondary networks
- Implement outreach strategies that actively target underrepresented groups to diversify your team.
- Network through industry-related professional associations, events and conferences.
- Share content and engage in discussions on social media (LinkedIn) and industry forums.
- Activate the #Hiring photo frame on LinkedIn to increase profile and job openings visibility.
2. Create a talent pipeline
- Evaluate current team skills and qualifications to anticipate future needs.
- Stay updated on industry trends and required skills.
- Tailor the talent pipeline to emerging needs.
- Categorize talent based on skills and qualifications.
- Target specific talent groups for new opportunities.
3. Keep your network engaged
- Share university news and insights on social media and industry forums.
- Individually reach out to key contacts, expressing interest in their career development.
- Distribute job postings with the talent pipeline and encourage applications and sharing within their networks.
