Mandatory Safety Training
At the U of A, the following courses are mandatory.
New hires have 30 days from the date of hire to complete their mandatory safety training.
Mandatory for all non-supervisory workers:
Mandatory for supervisors:
- Workplace Violence and Harassment Prevention (Module 1 & 2)
- Supervising Safely
- Once you are done mandatory training, supervisors are asked to acknowledge the Supervisor Safety Declaration
In addition to the mandatory training, you will need to take safety training that is specific to the hazards you are working with or to the tasks you will be doing.
To determine additional training requirements, complete a training needs assessment. You must complete all training and demonstrate competency before beginning work.
