Commuter Study Hostel
The Commuter Study Hostel offers students a safe, convenient and affordable place to stay on campus for when you'd rather skip the commute due to an early morning exam or a late night project.
The Commuter Study Hostel offers bright and comfortable rooms with private washrooms. Each room features windows that open, black-out blinds, work desk, bed linens, towels, small bar of soap and drinking cup. There is also high-speed wireless internet and access to a shared lounge and kitchen with a refrigerator, sink and microwaves.The Commuter Study Hostel is located in Mary Schäffer Hall (87 Avenue and 116 Street), connected to Lister Centre.
Book a room
Only online bookings are accepted. Your booking is only finalized once room availability is confirmed and you are sent an email with details about your stay.
Check in: Between 4–10:30 p.m. | Check out: 11 a.m.
Booking requirements
- You must be a U of A student
- One student per room
- Max 3 nights/stay, 9 nights/month
- Room keys must be returned or a fee of $150+tax will be charged to your student account.
- Book before 5 p.m. for same-day accommodation
Cancellations
To adjust or cancel a reservation, 48 hours notice prior to your arrival is required. A notice of less than 48 hours is subject to a fee of one night’s stay + taxes.
