Apply for Residence
2025-2026
APPLICATIONS OPEN
Residence applications are open for students enrolling in the 2025–2026 academic year.
Before you apply, check out our residences and unit types to find the building that meets your needs. Please also read our cancellation policy and electronic communications policy.
You can apply as early as October 1 the year prior to you attending university.
Application process
Step 1
Get your CCID
A Campus Computing ID (CCID) is the main way to access an abundance of campus resources, including applying to residence. To get one, you must first apply to a program. You will receive a CCID within 72 hours of applying (you do not need to be accepted or conditionally accepted to get a CCID).
Step 2
Submit your application and pay the fee
Log into your residence account using your CCID and fill out the application form. Pay the $25 non-refundable application fee by credit card and submit. Please fill out your application accurately and completely to ensure it gets processed and a spot is held for you in residence.
Residence Services is currently transitioning to a new application software. During this transition, multiple application portals will be live so carefully choose the correct link below based on the term and campus you are applying for.
Fall 2024 or Winter 2025 (current academic year)
Fall 2025 (next academic year)
Step 3
Confirm your space
In late spring, Residence Services begins the process of assigning rooms. Check your U of A email regularly for a room offer and accept it by completing the confirmation contract linked in the email. At this point, you will need to pay a $500 residence deposit, which goes toward your first month rent.

How do I make arrangements for special accommodation?
Contact the Academic Success Centre (North Campus or Campus Saint-Jean) or the Accessibility Resources (Augustana Campus) if you have a medical condition that affects your mobility, vision, hearing, learning or physical or mental health, or experience a non-medical restriction that affects your ability to participate in your academics or campus life. This is also where you can request accommodation for a service or support animal (this can take 1–2 months to process, so apply as early as possible).
