Enhancing Resident + Medical Student Research Supervision Skills

Description

The purpose of this workshop is to equip faculty members with the knowledge, skills, and strategies needed to effectively supervise and mentor medical students and residents in their research endeavors. Through case-based discussions, participants will explore the unique challenges faced by trainees undertaking research projects during their training and identify strategies for supporting them in navigating these challenges and achieving success.

Objectives

  1. Understand the importance of research supervision in medical education
  2. Explore the unique challenges faced by medical students and residents undertaking research projects during their training
  3. Identify strategies for faculty to support medical students and residents in navigating research challenges and achieving success

Target Audience

Faculty members participating or planning to participate in research supervision for medical students and/or residents.
