What is ChatGPT and How Do I Use It?

Description

In this two-hour workshop, participants will explore the use of ChatGPT in clinical medicine. The workshop will include a combination of didactic material, livestreaming demonstrations, and small group exercises in an interactive online format. Beginner, intermediate, and advanced uses of ChatGPT will be discussed. No previous knowledge of ChatGPT is required.

Objectives

  1. Create an OpenAI account, write an effective prompt, and manage a conversation with ChatGPT
  2. Use ChatGPT to perform a variety of tasks related to Clinical Medicine
  3. List errors common to ChatGPT and understand why they occur
  4. Review how ChatGPT can interface with internet-connected devices and other apps
  5. Discuss the ethical, legal, and social implications of generative Artificial Intelligence
