Peer-2-Peer Programs

Woman teaching room of students

At the University of Alberta, we are dedicated to supporting our faculty and staff in reaching their full potential by equipping them with the tools and skills needed to excel in their roles. Our Peer-2-Peer (P2P) programs empower faculty and staff to become peer facilitators, enabling them to share insights and knowledge gained from our Organizational Development and Talent Management programs with their colleagues.

As P2P Facilitators, they'll lead short lessons based on some of our most popular programs. By preparing to facilitate Wandering Workshops, they'll not only boost their own facilitation skills and content knowledge but also help create positive change in U of A’s workplace culture.

Applying to be a P2P Facilitator

Eligibility

If you have completed one of the following Organizational Development and Talent Management programs, you can become a certified P2P Facilitator in that program’s content:

  • Leading Others
  • Management Intensive
  • Workplace Skills (Strategic Conversations, Communicating with Impact or Collaborating in a Complex Environment)

For example, to apply to become a P2P Facilitator for Leading Others content, you must have successfully completed the Leading Others program before applying to the P2P Program.

Within an intimate and supportive environment, you will learn to deliver ready-made micro-lessons prepared by Organizational Development and Talent Management. You will also hone your facilitation skills and develop a network of fellow P2P Facilitators. As a P2P facilitator, you are not expected to offer professional-calibre facilitation or offer expert advice on content. As a practitioner who uses these tools, you will be sharing from a much more authentic place. You will be a peer.
