Heat warning: High temperatures in some buildings

There is currently a heat warning in effect for Edmonton. Some building temperatures are higher than normal as U of A teams work on ensuring all cooling systems are fully operational across campus.

What

Although U of A maintenance teams began switching cooling coils several weeks ahead of schedule this year, Edmonton is experiencing record temperatures for May.

Please help reduce building temperatures by closing the blinds on your office/classroom and keeping windows closed.

When

Teams are currently working as quickly as possible, and it is estimated that all cooling systems will be operational by tomorrow afternoon.
