Integrated Pest Management Program
Our Integrated Pest Management Program promotes healthy vegetation on UAlberta land. The program ensures our maintenance and construction staff, and our contractors use effective, efficient and environmentally friendly techniques to control weeds on campus.
The program reduces pesticide use on campus by promoting practices that improve long-term vegetation health. For example, we use organic fertilizer (compost) instead of chemical fertilizer in the university's green space and gardens.
