Landscape Maintenance
The Grounds team works year-round to keep UAlberta's grounds healthy and well-maintained. Using the most efficient, eco-friendly methods possible, we:
- Maintain the lawns, trees and flowers.
- Run an integrated pest management program that reduces pesticide use on campus
- Remove snow and ice
- Handle outdoor clean up, disposing of non-hazardous materials like litter, broken glass and animal remains
We aim to provide students, faculty, alumni and community members with an outdoor space that is not only aesthetically pleasing but one which is safe and welcoming. We like to think of our outdoor space as an extension of the classrooms and labs that make up the core of the institution, one where critical thinking, self-reflection, and the desire for knowledge abound.
