Mosetta Bodah
Student Name: Mosetta Bodah
Year: 2nd
Degree: Bachelor of Arts in Recreation, Sport, and Tourism
Why did you decide to study at the University of Alberta?
After spending my first year of university in the states on a sport scholarship, I decided to come back home to Edmonton and come to the UofA and do the BARST program and it combined my interests of sociology and sport!
What has been your favourite course so far and why?
KIN 320 the structure and strategy of games because it was honestly so cool learning about games and the different types! This is something I never thought I could have a class about and it was cool. Learnt a lot and was able to be challenged with the assignments
What advice do you have for new undergraduate students?
Don’t be afraid of having to start over or trying something new. You won’t be perfect at first and it’s okay to have some trial and error
What do you like to do for fun or relaxation?
Listening to music, journaling, and just doing simple things with people I care about! And cooking!
Why did you want to choose the photos above?
I chose this photo as it represents me and who I am! Track is a big part of my life (the reason why I went to the states to begin with, and now being part of the pandas track team) as well as cooking because I’ve been exploring more of that during quarantine as my season was cancelled. I have learned to enjoy cooking (pizza photo missing) and making things from scratch and continue to find new things to make and challenge myself
