Education Abroad Alumni

Get Involved with Education Abroad as an Alumni!

There are several opportunities available for Alumni to stay involved with the Education Abroad Program. Here are a few:

1. Share your story!

Did you have an amazing time abroad? We want to hear all about your experience! If you have a story to share, you can register as an Education Abroad Ambassador and post fantastic stories and pictures in the TAP Feed!

2. Volunteer with EASI!

Education Abroad Squad International (EASI) is a volunteer student ambassador program that strives to provide opportunities for students to share and promote education abroad programs and other international opportunities to University of Alberta staff and students.

When you join EASI you'll get to:

  • Connect with internationally-minded individuals on campus
  • Improve public speaking skills by giving presentations on EAP opportunities
  • Promote your country or the country in which you completed a study, work or research program
  • Advise students interested in education abroad programs
  • Plan/attend social gatherings for EASI or incoming exchange students
  • Earn points towards your Certificate in International Learning (CIL)

If you are passionate about international learning experiences and want to encourage other students to go abroad, then join EASI!

3. Host a UAlberta Intern Abroad

Internships are a critical component of our global engagement, allowing students to gain hands-on experience that complements their studies.

UAlberta has been matching employers with our students for more than two decades, providing employers with new expertise and students with real-life, career-related experiences.

More than 2,000 UAlberta students participate in work-term or internship placements each year in a variety of disciplines-engineering to computer science, chemistry, forestry, education and health sciences.

Whether you're a large, multinational company or a small not-for-profit organization located outside of Canada, UAlberta can find an intern that best matches your needs.

Contact the University of Alberta International Internship team for assistance in finding and developing an internship placement for your organization.
