  • ISVS Climb & Connect | March 29

    Saturday, March 29 | 1:30 - 3 p.m. | Wilson Climbing Centre
    Ready to reach new heights? Join us for an exciting day at the Wilson Climbing Center, where you'll learn the basics of rock climbing in a supportive and fun environment. Whether you’re a beginner or have some experience, this event is the perfect opportunity to challenge yourself, meet fellow students, and connect with new friends. Are you ready for the challenge? Join us and find out!  This event will cost $25 and will include the costs of all equipment (Climbing shoes, belays, etc.), facility rental fees, and other associated fees.

  • Ice Cream Crawl | April 1

    Tuesday, April 1 | 5:30 - 8:30 p.m. | Telus Center
    What’s better than a scoop of ice cream on a sunny day? How about a whole afternoon of exploring some of the best ice cream spots in Edmonton? Join us for an exciting Ice Cream Crawl as we stroll down Whyte Ave, stopping at three of the city’s most beloved ice cream shops: Made by Marcus, Yelo'd, and Drizzle! We’ll kick things off with Made by Marcus, where you’ll taste artisanal, scratch-made ice cream that’s always rotating with fresh, inventive flavors. Next, we’ll swing by Yelo'd, a local gem offering Filipino and Asian-inspired treats, from rich ice cream flavors to unique baked goods. Lastly, we’ll visit Drizzle Ice Cream, a modern take on your classic childhood favorites, where simple, delicious ice cream reigns supreme. No pressure to buy ice cream from each shop! whether you're here for a scoop or the full crawl, we hope to have you out on this delicious adventure!

  • World Health Day Celebration

    Friday, April 4 | 8:30 - 9:45 a.m. | SUB Cascade Room (0-49) 
    Campus & Community Recreation, Human Resources, Health, Safety and Environment, and Wellness Supports, are inviting for breakfast on April 4th to celebrate health and well-being on our campus. They will be announcing 2025 Wellness Champions, who are doing exceptional work contributing to the culture of wellness on our campus. There'll be an opportunity to connect with colleagues or to meet someone new. Faculty, staff, and students are welcome!

  • English Conversation Club End of Year Potluck

    April. 4 | 3 - 5 p.m MST | Telus Center

    Join us for our final ECC session for the 2024-2025 academic year where we will be celebrating the end of the semester with a potluck celebration! Enjoy home made meals, great company, and reflect on the last academic year. This is our last session for the semester, so let’s make it a memorable one! We highly encourage everyone to bring a dish to share if they’re able. This is a collaborative tradition where small contributions from everyone are what make this event possible! Don’t worry if you can’t bring a dish—just come ready to enjoy a fantastic spread and great conversations. Let’s end the semester with a delicious celebration and some wonderful memories. We hope to see you there!

    Join us from 9-11 a.m. in Telus Centre to learn about your research internship and helpful tips to enjoy life in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. You’ll meet fellow participants and receive some University of Alberta swag. Afterward, enjoy a guided campus tour from 11 a.m. to noon—please dress appropriately for the weather, as the tour includes outdoor areas!

Financial Literacy Workshops

Learn about banking, budgeting, credit scores, fraud prevention, and smart investing through engaging online and in-person sessions. These workshops are designed to help you make informed financial decisions and set yourself up for success.


Wellness Check-ins

Relax, de-stress, and connect with support programs. Recharge with Unwind Your Mind activities, join Wellness Wednesdays for games, tea, and good conversation, or step outside for city excursions and outdoor recreation. However you choose to participate, you’ll find a welcoming space to de-stress and take care of yourself.


Intercultural Events

Connect with a diverse community while exploring new cultures. Attend fun and interactive sessions like outdoor survival workshops, multicultural potlucks, Indigenous education events, and celebrations of global and Canadian traditions. These events are a great way to meet new people and learn about different cultures.
