Requirements
In this online course, you will review program requirements, make your plan to complete the CIL, meet virtually with other CIL students, and explore intercultural communication concepts.
You must complete 12 credits in CIL-approved, global courses at U of A. A number of faculties offers these courses.
You can satisfy the intercultural experience requirement by going abroad (6+ weeks), working in a cross-cultural environment in Canada (100+ hours) or living in the International House (1+ year).
Satisfy this requirement by completing two of the following: 1) earn co-curricular activity points, 2) gain second language competency and/or 3) complete intercultural communication training.
In your capstone project, you reflect on what you learned from completing the various requirements of the CIL.
