Why did you choose to live at I-House?

I chose to live here because I felt the need to be surrounded by people that could relate to the struggle of being away for home, whilst coming together to create a community that felt like a home away from home. Also, the exposure to different cultures and most importantly, languages was a journey I was ready to partake on.

What's the best part about living at I-House? (Why do you love I-House?)

It would be having instant translators that work better than google. Having a conversation and simultaneously asking "how do you say this in your language?" is so exciting! Exposure to languages has been engaging and pleasurable.

Why did you choose to live at I-House?

I wanted to experience and interact with people from as many different backgrounds and cultures as possible, all of which I-House provided. As well, have people who were going through the same transitions as myself.

Of course, it's the people!
There are so many incredible and open individuals that living here is itself a unique experience altogether. My time in Canada is comprised of my adventures and relationships I've made with the people in I-House.
With that, all the trips and events we organize together, be it down the road or across the country, we do it all together.

It's about the community feelings and the nice people in the I-House, it's about the amazing events and fun floor life, it's about the friendships and kindness.
We enjoyed the tasty Thanksgiving dinner together, I had so many happy moments with I-Housers in so many events, and we explored lots of interesting places around our university.
I made many friends in I-House this year, and then I tried to organize the first birthday party ever, and that's a nice one, it made this birthday become the most special one.
And on our floor, we watched movies together, we played games in the lounge, we even made our own hot pot in the kitchen.
I love I-House, it feels like home.
