Part C (CCBOM Pathway) Course Information

The Canadian Board of Occupational Medicine (CBOM), the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC), and the Foundation Course in Occupational Medicine present an online series to help physicians prepare for CBOM’s Certification level accreditation (CCBOM). This is a collaborative project by CBOM’s Exam Committee, the CFPC’s Occupational Medicine Member Interest Group (MIG) and the University of Alberta’s Foundation Course in Occupational Medicine.

Prerequisite: Associate membership of the Canadian Board of Occupational Medicine (ACBOM) is a prerequisite for registration for Part C (CCBOM Pathway). 

The Foundation Course Parts A and B are ideal preparation for Part C (CCBOM Pathway). 


Current students

(2024–25 Course)

This one-credit-per-hour Group Learning program has been certified by the College of Family Physicians of Canada for up to 50 Mainpro+ credits.

For the upcoming year, we are planning to run the Part C course from December 2024 to May 2025.

The cost of Part C of the Foundation Course is $1,050 ($1,000 + GST). No refunds will be made once you have started the course.

Course Objectives

  1. Develop an approach to assess and manage occupational disease and injury
  2. Apply principles of prevention, causation and epidemiology
  3. Discuss key occupational medicine topics during examinations and academic sessions
