Application Deadline: April 30, 2025

Fellowship Start Date: July 2026

Advancing Neurological Care in Alberta and Canada

Thanks to a generous donation, the Neurology Roozen Family Fellowships are enhancing expertise in critical areas of neurology across Alberta and Canada.

The Division of Neurology in the Department of Medicine of the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry (FoMD) at the University of Alberta (U of A) is committed to developing specialized neurology expertise that will have a lasting impact on patients and families. By supporting advanced training, these fellowships help ensure that Canadians receive high-quality subspecialist neurology care for years to come.

Purpose of the Fellowship

To support training for exceptional clinical fellows conducting clinical or translational research and/or advanced subspecialty training in the areas of neurology.

  • The fellowship is to be undertaken at the U of A.

Subspecialty Fellowship Programs:

  • Movement disorder
  • Multiple Sclerosis

  • Headache

We also accept applications for clinical fellowships outside of the core subspecialty disciplines listed above, provided that the fellowship offers a well-outlined training program, a clinically relevant research project, is well-supervised with educational objectives of training and curriculum, and in an area of clinical need in Alberta.

  • The maximum annual value will be $100,000 per year.
