Our leading faculty
Jacquelyn Charleson
Dental hygienist
Charleson, RDH, BSc, graduated from the University of Alberta with a diploma in dental hygiene in 2016. She further advanced her education by earning a bachelor of science degree in 2017.
In 2019, Charleson established her own independent dental hygiene practice. Since 2021, she has incorporated the use of lasers into her routine care practice. Charleson is enthusiastic about contributing to the university's continuing dental education program.
Dr. Scott Benjamin
Dentist
Dr. Benjamin, DDS, BSc, is an internationally recognized expert, lecturer, and trainer on dental lasers and advanced dental technologies.
He is in private practice in rural upstate New York, where he utilizes several lasers daily. Dr. Benjamin holds faculty appointments at several universities and is the chairman of the American Dental Association (ADA) Standards Committee Working Group on Dental Lasers. He is also a member of the ANSI Committee Z136 on Laser Safety and a past-president of the Academy of Laser Dentistry (ALD).
