Position openings: Part-time instructors wanted

Applications are open for part-time instructors for the upcoming fall semester (September to December 2024) — and beyond. We are looking for licensed dentists who may want to work part-time at the School of Dentistry Oral Health Clinic or one of our satellite clinics in McLennan, High Level and La Crête.
You will be part of a team responsible for providing meaningful and motivating learning experiences for our students that encourage discovery and citizenship. You will:
- Supervise students performing clinic procedures on patients.
- Ensure the safety of patients and students by ensuring the quality of care and confidentiality of information is upheld.
- Provide expertise and advice on treatment options and modalities.
- Assess student performance in the following four categories: applied knowledge, delivery of procedures, management/professional demeanour and infection control.
- Mentor professional behaviour; interactions with patients, support staff, colleagues and students in the clinic.
- Demonstrate clinical procedures.
Applicants should be:
- Licensed and in good standing with their regulatory body
- Experienced in clinical practice
- Available part-time during business hours (8 a.m. to 4 p.m.)
At the satellite clinics, you would participate in two-week rotations.
