Meghan Rannells earns her master’s in education
28 June 2021
Congratulations to Meghan Rannells who has graduated with her master’s in education degree!
What was your academic focus?
I pursued a Master's in Education, with a focus on Technology in Education.
What inspired you to follow this path?
Originally, I was working in the Technologies in Education department in the Education building when I began my master's program. In this role, I was working with faculty and student bodies, assisting them with any of their technology needs and aspirations; it simply made sense to pursue a more academic route to further enable me to collaborate and work with these individuals in any of my future career and academic roles.
Did you have any specific challenges to overcome and if so, how did you overcome them?
Working and studying together was always a challenge when it comes to scheduling enough time to excel in both departments. Thankfully, I had the support of an amazing network of family, friends, and colleagues. I am forever grateful for their continued support.
Who if anybody was your inspiration and biggest support while pursuing your masters?
My biggest support, inspiration, and guide throughout my years in the Master’s of Education program would be without a doubt, Dr. Sharon Compton. While she not only provided me with the space to successfully work on my program, she was always graciously willing to provide resources for my many questions that surfaced these past few years as I completed course components and projects. Thank you, a million times Sharon!
