Giving back vital to the health of our communities

For Dr. Bernard Linke giving back to his profession and volunteering is vital. For more than ten years he's been giving back in many ways.
One of these ways is he has been elected as the 2017 Royal College of Dentists of Canada (RCDC) counsellor and written exam co-ordinator for a three-year term.
"It's important for us to volunteer our expertise to external organizations," says Linke. "We're serving the profession with our skills. It gives exposure to our school nationally. You're always getting the opportunity to meet people and highlight what we're doing in the school."
Linke is no stranger to volunteering. In the past he's been president of the Association of Prosthodontists of Canada, scientific chair of the national convention of the Canadian Academy of Restorative Dentistry, and has been involved with the RCDC since 2012.
"I feel the profession has given a lot to me and I want to give back," he says, of his ongoing volunteering efforts. "Looking back over 40 years of my dentistry career, I can say a lot of value has been added to my career by giving back. You get more back than you give and it helps make you a better person."
Dr. Linke encourages everyone to get involved! If you would like to discuss the opportunities, please contact him directly.
