What ULB has to offers:

Université Libre de Bruxelles offers more than 300 undergraduate and graduate degree programs.
It is a reseach-intensive university that plays an active role in the European Research Area and is involved in almost 130 projects financed by the 7th European Framework Programs.
Université Libre de Bruxelles has had particular success in finding business applications for the results of its research through its specialist Technology Transfer Office (TTO) forming part of its Research Department.
It is also notable for its international composition, with 32% of its 24,000+ students coming from abroad.
On campus recreational opportunities include intramural sports and clubs.
Brussels is less than two hours by train from Paris, Amsterdam, London and Cologne.

ULB's Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management accepts both undergraduate and graduate students. For undergraduate students, however, a minimum of 5 terms of university studies in the field of economics and/or business is required to participate in the exchange.

Course Information

Language of Instruction: English and French

Field of Study: All. However, exchange students are not able to register in the programs of the Faculty of Medicine. Exchange students are required to take a minimum of 60% of their courses in one Faculty corresponding to their University of Alberta major field of study.

Housing

Most students live in private lodgings. Universite Libre de Bruxelles advises exchange students to book a room at a hotel (which can be quite expensive) or youth hostel upon arrival and use this as a base for going out to look for rental accommodation near campus.
