China Tour Courses
AUECO 356: Experiencing Development and Change
A three week study trip to China, including travel to educational institutions in Zhuhai, the Zhuhai Special Economic Zone and other locations depending on the year. Through lectures, tours and research taking place in China, this course explores the effects of economic and institutional reforms as well as those of globalization, with links to China's history and to its culture.
This is a 3 credit interdisciplinary course where students will learn about economic development and policy, political and institutional structures and transformations in recent history of China, since the period of reform that began in 1979.
This course can be used to fulfill either Diversity and Global Studies, Experiential Learning, or Integrating Knowledge Core categories.
