Music With Children
Music With Children remains the flagship educational experience for Augustana's Community Conservatory of Music. An early childhood program for 4-8 year olds, Music with Children is an environment where children discover music in a natural way through games, songs, rhymes, movement and rhythm instruments.
Music with Children is a program based on the philosophies of Hungarian composer and educator, Zoltan Kodály, as well as the methods of Carl Orff.

Instructors
Charlene Brown has a bachelor of music degree with distinction from the University of Alberta. She teaches voice privately and as a sessional instructor at Augustana Campus, University of Alberta. Ms. Brown is beginning her 24th year as a Music with Children instructor.
Michelle Kennedy Hawkins holds a MA in music, an ARCT in voice and her Kodály level III. Michelle’s teaching at Augustana started in 2002 in the Keyboard Explorer program and voice area. We are delighted that she is joining the Music with Children team.
Classes offered:
- Preschool (age 4): $200/semester or $380 for both
- After-school I (Kindergarten/Grade 1): $220/semester or $400 for both
- After-school II (Grade 1/2): $220/semester or $400 for both
