About the Shuttle

Augustana operates a shuttle service between the University of Alberta's Augustana Campus and North Campus. The shuttle can be accessed by U of A students, staff and faculty with a valid ONEcard. To ensure affordability, the shuttle tickets have been subsidized by Augustana's Dean's Office, the University of Alberta Students' Union (UASU) and the Augustana Students' Association (ASA).

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the cancellation/refund policy?

Refunds will be provided if the university cancels the shuttle run. Refunds requested less than 48 hours in advance may not be granted. Refunds may take up to 30 days to be processed.

Every effort will be made to operate the shuttle as per the posted schedule. However,  events outside of our control may result in the shuttle being cancelled with little to no notice. These unforeseen events include, but are not limited to: bad weather, bad road conditions, traffic delays, vehicle breakdown and driver unavailability.

We reserve the right to cancel the shuttle if no tickets have been sold for the return trip. (i.e. no tickets sold for the Edmonton to Camrose route and following Camrose to Edmonton route.)

As a student, how do I make an appointment with the University Health Centre (UHC) during the days when the shuttle is operating?
Students can connect with the UHC to make an appointment and ask if there is an available appointment for an Augustana student.
Can the shuttle be used outside the existing schedule?

Yes! Additional rentals of the shuttle with advance notice are possible on a cost-recovery basis (per km charge and cost of the driver) and subject to driver availability.

If wanting to inquire about additional rentals, contact Randal Nickel, manager of student life, at rnickel@ualberta.ca

How is the shuttle funded?
The $10 ticket covers a portion of the operational costs for the shuttle.

For Monday and Friday routes, the remaining cost of operating the shuttle is covered by the Augustana Dean's Office.

For Saturday routes, the remaining cost of operating the shuttle is covered by the University of Alberta Students' Union (UASU) and the Augustana Students' Association (ASA).
Can I provide feedback on the shuttle?

Absolutely — we value your feedback!

If you've purchased a ticket using your UAlberta email address, a short user satisfaction survey will be emailed to you directly.

If you have feedback outside of the user satisfaction survey, contact us at one of the emails listed above on this page.
