Dale attended high school at New Norway school and then spent two great years at Camrose Lutheran College. Following that, he completed his MD degree at the University of Alberta and subsequently completed certifications in internal medicine and pulmonary medicine at the U of A. This was followed by three years of pulmonary research training at the National Jewish Center for Immunology and Respiratory Medicine in Denver, Colorado. After completing his training, Dale returned to the University of Alberta and he is now a professor of medicine and director of the Lung Transplant Program.
Q: What is your favourite memory from your time at Camrose Lutheran College (CLC)?
A: The collegiality of my classmates.
Q: Why did you choose to study at CLC?
A: It had a great reputation.
Q: What does it mean to you to be a CLC alumnus?
A: CLC provided a great start for me.
Q: How do you use what you learned at CLC in your current role?
A: I learned how to study and developed my interest in science.
Q: What advice would you give to current students?
A: Perseverance and patience is the key to success.
