Yuichi Kurimoto Award for Japan Business Students: Bachelor of Commerce students may be eligible for a fully funded experience. Award value will be dependent on the length of the program and program costs.

Eligibility Requirements

Level: Undergraduate, Graduate
Undergraduate students can only participate in this exchange during their 3rd or higher year of a UAlberta program.
Students can take courses offered by Chiba Faculties (that accept exchange students; not all of them do) or via the J-PAC program in either the Liberal Arts Program or the Japanese Studies Program.
Participation in J-PAC's Liberal Arts or Japanese Studies programs requires that one of the following language criteria be met:
1) Have sufficient English proficiency to take classes offered in English, equivalent to CEFR B2, TOEFL iBT 72 or IELTS 5.5 or over, and have studied Japanese language for at least 50 hours.
2) Have sufficient Japanese proficiency to take classes offered in Japanese, equivalent to passing JLPT N2 or over.
Students wanting to participate in the Japanese Studies Program must also major in East Asian Studies.
