Killam Fellowships Program
City: Various Country: United States
The Killam Fellowships program is a bilateral, international exchange agreement between Canada and the United States of America, with participants attending one of the participating colleges and universities listed below, in locations around the USA. All Killam Fellowships can be undertaken either for one semester, or a full year, and participants are generously funded.
Please note that the Killam Fellowship Program is open only to undergraduate students (not including students of architecture, dentistry, engineering, law or medicine) who are Canadian citizens.
Please also note that if all of your University of Alberta course work to date has been in French and your first language is French then you would need to present the results of an English proficiency test as part of your Killam Fellowship Program application.
The Killam exchange application process is different from that required for all other exchange options and has an earlier application deadline on December 16, 2024.
Although it is NOT required, you are strongly encouraged to attend an advising appointment (either online or in-person) on any Tuesday between the hours of 9 - 11 am or 1 - 3 pm by getting into the queue at uab.ca/isc BEFORE you start a Killam Fellowships exchange application. If you'd prefer in-person advising, then you'd also have to report to Room 142 of the Telus Centre on North Campus (i.e., the International Service Centre).
Please note: Everyone wants to go to Hawaii! Although not impossible, your chances of being accepted for an exchange at the Hawaiian exchange destination are slim.
