La Bruyère Scholarship

The La Bruyère Scholarship is awarded to students entering the first year of any undergraduate degree at Campus Saint-Jean who have demonstrated a mastery of written French. 

The La Bruyère Prize is endowed by Marc de La Bruyère

Selection criteria

  • Original 4-6 page essay which best demonstrates:
    • clarity
    • logic
    • originality
    • creativity
    • and elegance of style and composition.

The scholarship and prize will be presented to the winner at an awards evening on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at Campus Saint-Jean.

The winning essay will also be published on the Campus Saint-Jean website as well as in local media.
