National Consortium for Health Training
Consortium national de Formation en Santé, Volet Campus Saint-Jean, Université de l'Alberta
The Consortium national de formation en santé includes sixteen colleges and universities as well as four regional partners from French communities in minority context. Together with the National Secretariat of the CNFS, their actions aim to improve access to social and health services for official language minority communities, in particular by increasing access to health training programs.
The CNFS initiative is supported by the Association des collèges et universités de la francophonie canadienne (ACUFC) and made possible through the financial contribution of Health Canada.
Campus Saint-Jean offers three program in the framework of this partnership:
- Health Care Aide Program (HCA), offered by the Centre collégial de l'Alberta
- Bilingual Bachelor of Science in Nursing program, undergraduate program jointly offered by Faculté Saint-Jean in partnership with the Faculty of Nursing
- Certificate in Francophone Practice for Speech-Language Pathologists, graduate program offered by Faculté Saint-Jean in partnership with the Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine
