Gertha Alexis

My name is Gertha Alexis and I'm completing a major in Psychology and a double minor in Anthropology and Sociology.

I am passionate about Art and Crafts and dream of becoming an Art Therapist.

During my time on campus, I've had the opportunity to benefit from the support of numerous tutors to deepen my learning.

I would like to use my knowledge and skills to contribute to your academic success. I look forward to assisting you.



Kodzovi Ehonam Séna Amegbo

My name is Kodzovi Ehonam Séna Amegbo. I have a Bachelor's degree in Contemporary History, and a Master's degree in International Relations, Diplomacy option. I am enrolled in Interdisciplinary Studies in the Arts at Campus Saint-Jean, University of Alberta.

My agility has enabled me to gain professional experience in business and civil society organizations as a specialist in training young people on conflict transformation issues. I'm passionate about Political Science. My interests lie in international relations, diplomacy, international cooperation, governance and state sovereignty.

I'm also an active member of the Groupe de recherche sur les Afriques et l'Amérique latine (GRAAL) and the Centre d'analyse et de prospective sur les Afriques (CAP-Afriques).

For me, there's nothing more valuable than accompanying my peers as a French instructor on the formidable adventure that is the quest for knowledge.

Marie Louise Békoin

I'm Marie Louise Békoin, an enthusiastic and dedicated business administration student.

I am experienced in interpersonal communication, and group facilitation and am deeply committed to helping students navigate their assignments. As I am also bilingual in French and English, I'm very happy to put all my skills to the service of my peers.

Amba Writa Eby

Amba Writa Eby is a passionate student in Business Administration Technology at the University of Alberta, Campus Saint-Jean. Bilingual with an advanced command of French, she loves to share her love for the French language and culture as a monitor at La Centrale. With her communication skills and attention to detail, she helps students improve their language skills while making learning enjoyable and accessible.

Outside of university, she is actively involved in community projects, including food banks, where she provides valuable assistance to those in need. Always eager to learn and grow, she aspires to a future in customer service or administration, with the ambition of making a positive difference in every role she undertakes.

Mayana El Kayal

My name is Mayana El Kayal. I am a third-year student pursuing a combined Baccalaureate in Science and Secondary Education, majoring in Biological Sciences and a double minor in Mathematics and French.

I am trilingual, speaking French, English, and Arabic. Teaching, writing, and reading have always been my passions, as well as helping others.

What inspired me to join the team at La Centrale was the exceptional services I received there. At La Centrale, I offer English tutoring services. In my opinion, being an English instructor means supporting students and helping them develop their speaking, writing, and reading comprehension skills. It gives me pleasure to help as many students as possible and see them succeed!

In my free time, I'm most likely shopping, reading, or having fun with my friends and family. I also love traveling and discovering new cultures.

Cohen Geissler

Hello, my name is Cohen Geissler and I am a fourth-year student in the Combined Bachelor of Education and Science program here at Campus Saint-Jean. I am passionate about language acquisition, mathematics, physical sciences, and of course, education. Outside of academia, I play the flute and piano and am an avid reader. I am highly motivated and passionate about helping members of the CSJ community and I am delighted to be part of the content monitors in mathematics, physical sciences, and linguistics. I take a methodological approach so that we can find all the pitfalls that cause difficulty in arriving at the desired conclusion. Do not hesitate to come see me at La Centrale!

El Azzizi Hanae

My name is El Azzizi Hanae, and I'm delighted to be starting this new adventure as an instructor at La Centrale.

I'm currently in my second year of a master's degree in environmental engineering.

I am passionate about sharing knowledge and supporting students throughout their academic careers. Over the years, I've had the opportunity to help many students, whether in understanding course concepts or preparing for their exams. The positive feedback I receive after their success touches me deeply and reinforces my motivation to continue in this direction.

My teaching approach is based on listening and sharing, because I believe that every student has a unique potential to reveal. My aim is to support you throughout the academic year and provide you with the tools you need to succeed.

Aside from my academic commitments, I'm an avid reader, particularly passionate about personal development books, which are a constant source of inspiration and motivation for me to constantly improve.

Tifenn Launay

Hello, my name is Tifenn LAUNAY. I come from France. I was born in Nantes but I lived most of my life in Brittany near Rennes. I also lived for 6 years in Guadeloupe, a Caribbean island. I did a degree in Foreign Language, Literature, Civilization in English at Rennes 2. After this degree I went to the United States. I lived in Philadelphia and New York. Last year I was a French language assistant in an elementary school in Glendale near Los Angeles. I have the pleasure of being a language assistant at the University of Alberta this year. At the same time, I am starting my Master's degree in French as a Foreign Language, in order to become a French teacher abroad.

I'm Moïse, a Master's student at Campus Saint-Jean. I'm passionate about mathematics, which I like to pass on to the students who come to La Centrale with the aim of improving their performance in mathematics and statistics.

My name is Nikita and I am in my third year of the BEd/BSc program here at Campus Saint Jean. I am also working towards my TESL certification and I am excited to be your English tutor this year! I would be thrilled to help you with any and all things to do with the English language!

Noëlla Nkurunziza

Hi, I'm Noëlla Nkurunziza.

I'm a student in the Early Childhood Education (ECE) program. I'm passionate about my field of study and dedicated to contributing to children's education and healthy development.

As part of my career path, I've always felt drawn to the helping and accompanying professions, driven by a real passion for supporting others in their development and success. This passion has led me to the position of CCA Peer Tutor where I would be delighted to use my empathetic approach and teaching skills to support and guide EPE students on their journey. I'm looking forward to sharing my knowledge, working with all of you, and helping to create a positive and stimulating environment.

Beyond my passion, I'm an optimistic and determined person who values fairness and respect. My ambition is to become Director or Manager of a school/organization and contribute to the improvement of early childhood education in Burundi.

Camille Poirier

Camille Poirier (elle/she/her), a native of Quebec with a passion for teaching and an ambition to carve out a place for herself on the teaching staff at Campus Saint-Jean, makes it her duty to accompany her peers on their academic journey in literature, linguistics, history and Canadian studies. Equipped with an open mind, unquestionable pedagogical skills and an extensive literary and cultural repertoire, she'll be delighted to guide you through individual study sessions, small groups or even sports!
