Model United Nations

This course is open to all University of Alberta students.

Students enrolled in AUPOL 248/348 will work as a team of diplomats assigned to a specific country and UN committee work.

Model UN Simulation

The course culminates with a trip to either New York (Winter offering) or Washington, D.C. (Fall offering) to participate in a United Nations simulation with university students from across the globe. At the simulation, students encounter the real-life frustrations and rewards of negotiations and diplomacy.
