Saint-Jean Health Ambassadors

The Saint-Jean Health Ambassadors / Ambassadeurs Santé Saint-Jean (ASSJ) is a sub-group of the Groupe Interdisciplinaire et de Formation en Santé des Francophones (GRIF-SF). It is made up of dynamic and committed students trained at Campus Saint Jean. This sub-group was created to strengthen the activities of the GRIF-SF and meet the needs of the French-speaking minority community.

ASSJ's Mission

The ASSJ aims to raise awareness, inform and mobilise French-speaking students around public health issues and well-being practices. In collaboration with GRIF-SF professionals, this group encourages community involvement and supports students in their academic and personal development by offering them a support network and health resources.

ASSJ Objectives

  1. To promote health-related activities on campus and elsewhere, in particular by devising workshops and prevention and awareness-raising campaigns for organisations, institutions and/or health structures.
  2. Encourage students to get involved in health initiatives to strengthen their understanding of public health issues, particularly those affecting French-speaking communities.
  3. To enable students to develop and perfect their communication skills by popularising science and deconstructing complex concepts.
  4. Provide a space for discussion and exchange to address concerns and challenges related to students' physical, mental and emotional health.
  5. Create links with French-speaking healthcare professionals and encourage students to integrate into the local healthcare community.
  6. Promote the results of biomedical research carried out by Campus Saint Jean researchers by giving student researchers the opportunity to disseminate and promote their work.
  7. Respond to specific training and support needs and actively seek out new opportunities for collaboration with French-speaking healthcare professionals.
  8. Establish a solid link between GRIF-SF and healthcare professionals serving a common cause
  9. Attract the campus student community and encourage it to become actively involved by integrating the sub-group's activities.
