Orange Shirt Day 2021

In advance of Orange Shirt Day and the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation (September 30th), we invite the U of A community to wear orange shirts on September 29 to honour and remember the experiences and loss of the thousands of children who were stolen from their families and placed in Indian Residential Schools.

The recognition of Orange Shirt Day on our campuses has been led by First Peoples' House since 2013.

A restock of orange shirts should be available in the Bookstore by Monday, September 27. All proceeds from the sales of these shirts go to First Peoples' House to fund cultural programming.
