Community Courses
The Green & Gold Sport System is pleased to provide a variety of non-credit coach education courses to both the university and external communities in partnership with various Provincial Sport Organizations (PSO's). These courses are all connected to the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) and make it possible for developing coaches to fulfill the requirements of most Green & Gold Coach Levels when combined with an appropriate amount of verified coaching experience. These coach levels ensure that coaches have the necessary competencies to work with athletes at different points on our Athlete Pathway. They also form the basis of the Green & Gold Sport System's hiring practices.
Sport-specific terminology for these courses can be clarified by visiting the Coaching Association of Canada website. The following table summarizes the community course and experience requirements associated with each of our Green & Gold Coach Levels:
Please note that Performance 3 can currently only be achieved through completion of our MCoach Degree
