Science + Sport Skills Combo

In partnership with the Faculty of Science, the Green and Gold Sport System is offering a full-day combination camp for grades 5-6/ 9 to 11 year olds. For half the day, learn about computer science, forensic science, or nature science on campus with our science camp leaders (topic based on week). Engage in hands-on learning in science, experiments, and facility visits with our science staff. During the other half of the time, experience sport, play, activities that focus on the development of new skills with Green and Gold camp leaders.

  • Each participant will be provided with a camp T-Shirt.
  • Participants may be grouped based on age and/or current skill level
  • Participants are required to wear athletic clothing for sport sessions, closed toe footwear for science sessions.

Forensic Science

In the Forensic Science half of camps we will explore the chemistry, biological sciences, and psychology used in the world of forensic science. We will do this through hands-on activities like fingerprinting, an introduction to DNA, blood spatter physics, and more. The students will also solve a case on the final day.

Computer Science

In the Computer Science half of camps we will solve technological challenges while learning computing fundamentals through problem-solving activities, computer animation, video game creation and programming basics.

Nature Science

In the Nature Science camps we will  explore and learn about nature science on campus with our science camp leaders by visiting museums and labs and by participating in hands-on science activities.
