Human Research Ethics Training
TCPS 2 Tutorial Course on Research Ethics (CORE)
CORE is a self-paced course that offers practical guidance based on the Tri-council Policy Statement: Ethical Conduct for Research Involving Humans (2010). It includes interactive exercises and diverse examples from various disciplines. The course covers eight modules, from Core Principles to REB Review. While primarily intended for researchers and REB members, anyone can take the course and receive a certificate of completion.
SYSTEM TRAINING
The Research Ethics Office offers training sessions for users of the ARISE system. These sessions cover general usage of the online system and review the specific questions on the ethics application. Participants also have the opportunity to ask questions about their applications.
For REB applicants, monthly training sessions are held online:
- Time: 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.
