Financial support
All supervisors are responsible for the financial support of graduate students under their supervision.
After a graduate student chooses a research supervisor, financial support will be provided from either the supervisor's operating grant, an independent award to the graduate student, or a combination of these. The Department of Pediatrics does not support funding/stipends/tuition for graduate students.
Currently the minimum annual salaries are:
-
$24,089.16 M.Sc. students
-
$25,197.24 PhD students
It is the graduate student's responsibility to apply for appropriate external funding, and it is the supervisor's responsibility to facilitate those applications in a timely fashion. For further information regarding student awards, see Scholarships and Awards.
