Andrew Ross
Andrew D. Ross, PhD is the Clinical Ethicist serving the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital, Cross Cancer Institute, Edmonton Zone Suburban and Rural Acute Care, Community Mental Health & Addictions, and Emergency Medical Services. Andrew joined the Alberta Health Services Clinical Ethics Service in 2017, having previously worked at the Covenant Health Ethics Centre and at the University of Melbourne Office for Research Ethics and Integrity. He completed his doctoral studies in philosophy at Queen’s University under the supervision of Prof. Udo Schüklenk, where he wrote his dissertation on exploitation of developing-country participants in for-profit clinical drug trials. In addition to Clinical Ethics, he has a longstanding interest in Research Ethics. A native Calgarian who now calls Edmonton home, Andrew has also lived in Red Deer, Kingston, Montréal and Melbourne (Australia).
