Lin Yang



Dr. Lin Yang is an epidemiologist in the Department of Cancer Epidemiology and Prevention Research, and an adjunct assistant professor in the Departments of Oncology and Community Health Sciences at the University of Calgary.

 

Her research focuses on the role of energy balance and physical activity/exercise in cancer prevention and survivorship. She has conducted several observational and intervention studies examining the impact of obesity, physical activity and sedentary behavior on cancer risk and patient outcomes in cancer survivors.

 

She is interested in mind-body exercises, such as Taiji, and their role in managing cancer, and elucidating the biological and psychological mechanisms of energy balance and cancer to inform personalized interventions paving the way towards sustainable scaling-up.
