In addition, Dr. Robinson Fayek attends numerous industry conferences and serves on a number of advisory committees and panels in order to stay informed on the most topical issues affecting the Albertan and Canadian construction industries. For example, Dr. Robinson Fayek actively serves on several best practices committees for the Construction Owners Association of Alberta (COAA) and is a regular presenter at their annual Construction Best Practices Conference. Through providing leadership and support on a diverse range of committees and groups, attending events, and building strong relationships with various public and private organizations, Dr. Robinson Fayek is able to gain direct exposure to new developments in crucial areas such as theoretical and applied academic research, the local and global construction industry, and government support for research and development programs. These activities help to add a new dimension of insight into the direction of Dr. Robinson Fayek’s research and her approach to student education and mentorship.
