Machine Shop
The Machine Shop in the Mechanical Engineering Building aids researchers, students, and other groups both on and off-campus in completing project builds. This service involves support along every step of a project, including:
- Scope definition and initial manufacturability consultations
- Time and cost estimates
- Design services, including full model and drawing packages
- Manufacturing of custom parts and equipment, including the outsourcing, incorporation, and commissioning of parts from outside companies
- Assembly services
- Repairs or adjustments to existing parts and equipment
We also offer training on select equipment, for those who wish to complete some work themselves.
