Research Outreach: Sheena Wilson, "Walking the talk: climate moves"

How can we make people and organisations more aware of the negative effects of extractive logics that support the dehumanisation and exploitation of entire classes and nations in order to take control of their land and extract resources, while polluting and destroying the ecosystem? How can we encourage them to take concrete action to protect the climate?

29 April 2024

This is what Professor Sheena Wilson intends to explore as part of her knowledge mobilisation activity Walking the talk: climate moves, made possible with the support of the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC).

Through walking and listening, participatory lunch debates, lectures, a symposium and a mini-residency for postgraduate students, participants and experts will co-construct deeper understandings of climate change and its impacts.
