The Dean's Fund for Excellence provides the faculty with the flexibility to support and direct initiatives and needs important to the success of our faculty. It provides seed funding for new initiatives and supports academic programs, technology, facility enhancements, research assistance, student activities and much more.

Field School takes students in the Department of Renewable Resources right to the forest for three weeks before their third year of study. For many, this is the highlight of their program. They develop practical skills, deepen friendships and confront the complexities of wildland management.

The ALES Centennial Dutch Endowment Travel and Experiential Learning Award

Established by alumnus Wes van der Lee, the endowment helps future leaders of Alberta agriculture by providing them with an opportunity to access international education at the higher learning institutions and industry in the Netherlands, the world's second largest exporter of agricultural products.
