- Maynooth University is located on a pleasant university campus in Ireland's only university town 20km west of Dublin, and has recently undergone a major phase of expansion in research, teaching and service facilities. The spacious campus is laid out in its own extensive grounds in rural surroundings, and is divided between an older complex of fine nineteenth century buildings and a modern complex of teaching, research, accommodation, and support facilities.
Students applying for this exchange are also encouraged to apply for funding through the Wild Geese Travel Award.

Term Dates:
Fall term equivalent: September - December (Please note Semester 1 would last until the end of January for students on a full-year exchange to Maynooth. It would end in December only for those students having an exchange only in Semester 1.)
Winter term equivalent: January - June
Eligibility Requirements
Open to: All Faculties
Level: Undergraduate
Students must have a 3.0 GPA to apply. Students with a GPA between 2.5 and 3.0 may be considered for this exchange but would need to submit 2 letters of reference from academic sources with the Maynooth (not UAlberta) part of their exchange application.

Please note that on-campus housing is generally guaranteed for students coming in September (Full Year and Fall Term). However, Maynooth cannot guarantee on-campus housing for their Spring term (i.e., the equivalent to UAlberta's Winter term). Students may instead have to secure off-campus housing; however, Maynooth Student Services can assist you with this by offering Maynooth Studentpad, an online listing service of rooms and properties for students in Maynooth and the surrounding areas.
