Olha Maliarchuk is an Associate Professor at the Department of Business Economics and Entrepreneurship at Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman. Her research interests include innovations and entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial ecosystems, business incubation and acceleration, academic entrepreneurship, and technology and knowledge transfer. Olha was involved in the research project “Realizing the Potential of Young Scientists in Integrating Science, Business, and Education” from 2020 to 2022. She was a Lane Kirkland Scholarship Program Scholar at Wroclaw University in Poland from 2020 to 2021 and an IU-Ukraine Nonresidential Scholar at Kelley School of Business (Indiana University Bloomington, USA) from 2022 to 2023. She also participated in the Virtual Academic Exchange Program (VAEP) between the ICFAI University Dehradun (India) and KNEU (Ukraine). Currently, Olha is the team lead of the research project "Entrepreneurship Opportunities, Characteristics, and Intentions among University Students in a Cross-Cultural Context." She has completed internships at Wroclaw Technology Park, MIT Enterprise Forum CEE, and Technology Transfer Office at Wroclaw University.


Project Description

The research project titled "Entrepreneurial Ecosystem Development in Central and Eastern Europe: Insights for University-Business Collaboration Enhancement in Ukraine" aims to investigate the factors that drive effective university-business collaborations in the CEE region, with the goal of applying best practices in Ukraine. The project will focus on the collaboration between business support organizations and universities as catalysts for regional economic growth. Additionally, it will emphasize the significance of technology and knowledge transfer offices as platforms for developing a university entrepreneurship ecosystem. The project will also explore different partnership models between universities and the key stakeholders of the innovative entrepreneurship ecosystem.
