Dr. Shiri presented a paper titled 'An Evaluation of Thesaurus-enhanced Visual Interfaces for Multilingual Digital Libraries' at the International Conference on Theory and Practice of Digital Libraries (TPDL) in Berlin, Germany (September 26-28, 2011). The paper reports on a user-centred evaluation of two visual user interfaces developed using the UNESCO multilingual thesaurus to support users in interacting with and making use of thesauri for query formulation and expansion as well as query modification.
