Dr. Margaret Mackey addresses Norwegian research conference

Dr. Margaret Mackey recently presented the keynote address at a research conference in Trondheim, Norway. The conference was the culminating event of a series of linked research projects in three educational institutions on the development of multimodal literacies. It was entitled, Tekst og Tegn: en konferanse om lesing, skriving og multimodalitet i skole og samfunn (Text and Signs: a conference on reading, writing and multimodality in school and society). Dr. Mackey spoke (in English!) on the subject of "21st Century Basics," and addressed the changing ways in which young people are learning about the world and about how to express themselves in relation to that world.
