Dr. Margaret Mackey gave an invited public lecture at the School of Information Studies at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee on June 15.
The lecture, entitled "New Literature for Changing Readers," addressed issues of changing reader skills and interests in the face of current technological and commercial developments, and explored the impact of such changes on literature for young people.
Currently, the Acting Dean of SOIS is Dr. Hope Olson, who was a professor at SLIS for many years prior to 2003.
