Dr. Lisa Given delivered the keynote address for the Canadian Library Association's 2010 Preconference event "Becoming Evidence Based: A Research in Practice Mini-conference" on June 2nd. Lisa's talk, entitled "Using qualitative evidence in library and information practice" examined such topics as the implications of traditional hierarchies of evidence for qualitative research in LIS, issues in designing and assessing qualitative research, and new developments in the design of qualitative systematic reviews. The preconference event was hosted by CLA's Evidence Based Librarianship Interest Group (EBLIG).
